Fluxo to make international LAN debut at ESL Challenger Rotterdam

João "⁠felps⁠" Vasconcellos and company went undefeated in the tournament's closed qualifier double-elimination bracket.

Fluxo fought hard to secure their ESL Challenger Rotterdam spot, barely surviving a three-map thriller over O PLANO in the opening round of the double-elimination bracket before besting Paquetá twice; the first being a near-effortless reverse sweep of their compatriots in the upper-bracket final before edging them out in a two map grand final.

The Brazilian quintet are the sixth team to secure their attendance at the event. They join the four teams invited by their placings on the ESL ranking and Aran "⁠Sonic⁠" Groesbeek's Nixuh, who made their way through the South African closed qualifier. The two remaining spots will be filled by the winners of the European and North American closed qualifiers, which will get underway on September 16 and 17, respectively.

ESL Challenger Rotterdam will run from October 14-16 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, and boasts a $100,000 prize pool with a spot in ESL Pro League Season 17 Conference also up for grabs for the eventual winner.

The event in the Netherlands will also mark the international LAN debut for Fluxo after the team failed in their bid to make it to the IEM Major Rio Americas RMR.
